Jason Garland Jr. is a Pittsburgh-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture. A practicing artist since the age of five, Garland developed his foundation at Pittsburgh CAPA before continuing his studies at Duquesne University.

Garland’s work explores identity, experience, and the ways personal and cultural influences shape how people understand themselves and the world around them. Working across materials and scale, he approaches each piece as an opportunity to experiment with color, texture, form, and visual storytelling.

His work has been exhibited at institutions and arts organizations throughout Pittsburgh, including Contemporary Craft, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild. He has received the Eleanor Friedberg Art Scholarship and was recognized as a recipient of the Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art.
